Youth Light, Inc. Book Review: First Steps to Social Success: Teaching Children Critical Social Skiils

There are a lot of social skills books on the market today. So what makes this one different? Simplicity. Some of the best features of this book are it's ease of implementation and being easy to understand. This is a great book for newer school counselors or school counselors, who need to infuse a social skills program into their existing comprehensive school counseling program and have never done so before. Also, what makes this book great for students is that it allows you to either follow the program exactly as it was written or it can be easily modified if you need more or have less time to work with students; without losing its effectiveness. Lastly, it comes with a CD of reproducibles and lesson plans...which saves time for already busy school counselors!
